Being Anybody Else (EP) | 2024 | self produced
Being Anybody Else is a five song EP featuring my five-piece band – guitar, bass, two saxophones and drums. This loud metal-jazz-fusion record was recorded at Studio G in Brooklyn & self produced in my home studio and while on the road. With two music videos shot entirely on film, the EP is about wanting to be literally anyone else except myself, which ironically is the most universal feeling. The first single To Be is a plea to the listener to just be yourself – it's hard, it takes time, but it's worth it.
inglish (album) | 2021 | self produced
A multi-layered album that explores concepts of identity, inglish makes use of Indian and Middle Eastern instrumentation while also expanding the role of modular synthesizers. The album is a longform message that pays tribute to the difficult process of assimilating while embracing your own culture.

Mike Birbiglia's Working it Out (podcast)
Audio editor & mix engineer
2021 - present
For the past three years, I've been the mix engineer & audio editor for award winning comedian Mike Birbiglia's podcast. Each week Mike welcomes a different comedian or creator and together they work out original, untested material.
Offstage with Shubh Saran (podcast)
Producer, host, editor
2021 - 2022
In 2021, I created my own podcast in conjunction with the release of my 2021 album inglish. I interviewed over 30 musicians and spoke to them about their identity in music, as I learned to define my own. I edited, hosted and scored the podcast, creating a unique sound design for each episode.
Yavum (single) | 2020
Producer, arranger
In 2020 I produced Yavum, a single by award winning vocalist and flautist Rasika Shekar. A song that means 'everything' in Tamil, Rasika and I worked on this song remotely during the throws of the pandemic while she was in Mumbai and I was in New York.
I've Lost It (single) | 2022
Editor
In 2021, I edited & co-produced I've Lost It, a collaborative single by The NYChillharmonic & Aberdeen. I also play guitar in both bands.
Touring & Live tech
I've been touring internationally with my band for the past six years, headlining across the US, Canada, Mexico and India. Earlier this year I built an in-ear monitor rig to ensure seamless live track playback on ableton synced with guitar patch changes on my Quad Cortex amp simulator. I love finding ways to make touring tech more efficient and this rig is a step further in that direction.
